The Internet constantly evolves, new search engines appear every week, whilst others change their submission routines in order to take advantage of new techniques available to them.
Exploit continually monitor and update the Engine database to ensure your submissions are always accurate. We update the database on a daily basis, so it is almost certain one or more engines will have changed since your last submission (if it was made on a different day!), so its a good idea to run an engine update on a frequent basis.
We currently recommend using the engine update facility every two weeks.
To update your engines simply...
Click on the Maintenance/Register tab on
the speed bar, this will display the following screen.
Click on the 'Start Update' button to start the update
Wait while the update is in
progress, when it has completed you will get a screen to
confirm the update has been completed.
Congratulations, you now have a
fully complete and up to date engine database!
